Five-minute Jewelry Refashion

I bought this necklace on clearance at Target about a year ago… and haven’t worn it since.

I love the soft color and delicate details of the chains.  However, on my body, it’s a really unflattering length, and it never laid out quite right as soon as I moved.  I removed the shorter chain, but it still wasn’t long enough.  I measured how much extra length I needed, and then reattached that much of the chain I originally removed.  I planned to reuse the clasp, but since it’s so long, I can just slip it over my head.  Now I have a wearable piece of jewelry, and even scored a few findings for a future creation.
